जब बातें बनेंगी
और फ़साने निकलेंगे
और कुछ लोग
हम जैसे दीवाने निकलेंगे
फिर चाहतों के नगमें
मुहब्बतों की आयतें होंगी
वस्ल, हिज़्र, आंसूं,हंसी
रोज़मर्रा की रिवायतें होंगी
इन सबको इक पिटारे में भर कर
वक़्त-
फिर इक सफ़र पे निकलेगा
तुम्हें और मुझे साथ लिए
तुम्हारी और मेरी ही तलाश में
